With the NBA playoff in full effect and the MLB season just about a quarter of the way. There are many sporting events to watch. The NFL is in it’s off season mode preparing for training came this summer. In the NBA the defending champions Denver Nuggets moved on the second round by beating Labron James and the LA Lakers. The Lakers just happen to get another coach fired. There’s always next season for the Lake Show. The Nuggets then faced the Minnesota Timberwolves led by up and coming superstar Anthony “Antman” Edwards. The Wolves swept a Phoenix Suns team led by Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Denver is expected to move on to the Western Conference finals. The number one seed in the West is a young OKC team. OKC advanced to second round as well. The Thunder swept Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Thunder moved on to face a Dallas Mavericks in the second round. Dallas with the more experienced team has the upper hand in this series. The Mavs with Kyrie and Luka was too much for the young Thunder team. They moved on to face Denver the Western Conference. This Thunder team of young players is here to stay and will be back next year.
In the Eastern Conference The Boston Celtics are all about business. They got revenge against a Miami Heat team that was looking to return to the NBA Finals. Boston moved on the the second round where they finished off an injured Cleveland Cavaliers team. The Cavs had outlasted a pesky Orlando Magic team in seven games. The New Knicks seem to be relevant again. They beat the Philadelphia Sixers with the help of some suspect calls by the refs. The knicks faced the Indiana Pacers in the second round. Great scoring games from Jalen Brunson helped the knicks secure a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics. This has been an enjoyable Playoffs and the finals should be just as entertaining.
